Unique Water Tanks
Delivery
Property delivery is free for 1,000 gallon & above unless otherwise indicated.
- Please ensure that adequate access is available to the site for delivery of tank. We will help site tanks only if the site is ready and accessible for truck & trailer combination - 19.5m long x 3.5m wide & 5m high.
- If the site has not been prepared by delivery date, additional charges may apply to return to site to do tank setup.
- To comply with Workplace Health & Safety requirements, the minimum number of people on site when a delivery is made is as listed:
- 1,000 gal - 5,000 gal: One able bodied person
- 5,200 gal - 7,000 gal: Three able bodied people
- 8,000 gal - 10,000 gal: Two able bodied people
Site Preparation
- Ensure the location of the tank is LEVEL, STABLE GROUND with uniform compaction (free of soft spots). Don't locate tank next to retaining wall or embankment.
- Ensure surface of the site is free from sharp objects or stones and is compacted.
- Spread a thin layer (approx 20-40mm) of CRUSHER DUST evenly over the level ground, at least 500mm greater than the diameter of the tank. Once it is compacted and level you may then place the tank directly on top of this material. To assist with reducing soil erosion back fill to first rib.
- Ensure the CRUSHER DUST is contained under the tank and cannot be washed away. This can be achieved by diverting all run-off water away from the site.
